Jimmy and his team at Generations HomeHelp & Social Support have shown genuine kindness, patience, and professionalism in looking after my mother and my late father, when both became physically immobile at the same time . It was such a challenging moment in our lives but with their help a routine was put in place that not only allowed us to continue to go about our lives but gave  my parents the feeling of security and well being they needed. Their level of care made a significant difference to their quality of life which continues to this day as they support and care for my mother. They are always ready to step in at a moments notice which in itself highlights their extraordinary commitment to caregiving. We as a family cannot recommend them highly enough.

Needed a respite break away and used Helping hands to check in and help mum in the morning and evening for a few days. Always provided me with feedback as to how she was. Father had a number of visiting carers but Jimmy was by far his favorite as he read him perfectly.  I would recommend this service without hesitation.

Jimmy and Maureen have helped us turn our lives around.Our mother came out of hospital after 3 long months of isolation due to Covid because she slipped and broke her hip and knee. When we saw her again she was  unrecognizable due to severe weight loss, afraid of everything  and showed no interest  in life which I suppose was to be expected at 88.As a  family we did not know how to move forward as Mum needed a lot of care which the NHS could not provide .It was then that we heard about “Our Helping Hands ». Jimmy and  Maureen are experienced carers but more than that they spend the time to get to know the person they care for.. Each day we see Mum making progress, her appetite is returning and she looks forward to her outings . Jimmy and Maureen cook, clean, take Mum out on the Prom everyday and help my Dad too as he also has poor mobility. Private care is very expensive but with Helping Hands it becomes so much more affordable .We could not manage or cope emotionally without  them.We call them angels not carers.
